This was the first cover I made for one of my romances. I had just been to
Colorado (although the book took place in Vermont) and taken these photos of
leaves with icicles among them.
As usual, I created the woman in Daz Studio and this time, I only used very
little of the stock hair. I painted the rest of the hair and the eyelashes
(perhaps I went a little overboard with the lashes) from a tutorial by
a Swedish digital painter.
I remember being proud of painting the mirroring effect of the trees in the
water, as that wasn't there in real life.
By now, I was dead set on making so many as I could of my own covers. Luckly,
Len Barot, my publisher, has so far agreed and even sent more work my way.
